  • Dividing by zero

RFK has been talking about autism again. It’s pretty clear he has no idea what he’s talking about. This should make it easy for the study he has set up to establish definitively the link between vaccination and autism: if you don’t understand either the cause or the effect, it’s not hard to find a connection.

It is all a bit offensive though and does give the suspicion he’s looking to find some useless eaters that he can remove from the population to strengthen the stock. He will be helped in this aim with the new autism registry to track USAians with autism. This will be set up as part of the research he is conducting.

They are consistent. They invest enormous amounts of energy identifying people who do not fit their ideal: blacks, latinos, gays, transes, women, etc – and then they discriminate against them. Now they’ve got another group that they can identify, then demonise and dehumanise. Followed by persecution. This seems to be their policy on every single issue.

On one level, I suppose it’s a reaction to the diversity policies of the past. If one side celebrates diversity, there needs to be another side that punishes it, right? At its root is just the same old racist mentality, dividing people into arbitrary groups and rating them. All the while keeping themselves at the top of the pile.

When you get the basics so wrong, everything else follows.

  • Making a summer

The immigrants are back. Swallows are flying into my woodshed, looking for a place to nest. They’ll find it – I’ve screwed a piece of wood to the rafters. It’s nice for them up there, and safe from the cats. I find this approach better than brooding over imagined resentments, before working myself into a lather of ever-escalating rage until I burn down the woodshed. But then I’m an old-fashioned type.

There are developments in the Abrego Garcia case. The government went to the Supreme Court in an attempt to get Judge Xinis removed from the case. The Supreme Court very firmly gave the case back to her. She is now demanding that the government return Garcia to the USA, and to give daily progress updates. The government is refusing to comply.

Will this end up as the constitutional crisis that everybody is waiting for? It’s going to happen at some point, so why not this case?

Assuming it gets there, it’s hard to see the Supreme Court giving in on this. They want to be able to deal with people by themselves, without being subordinate. If they accept that the government can simply disappear people without the courts getting involved, they are basically powerless.

Maybe it’s best that this is sorted out now. The government is attempting to deport or rendition thousands of people, because they think these people might be criminals. No evidence. Please clarify the situation.

  • Crimes against humanity

Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia was seized by ICE agents on 12th March and held for deportation. The government claimed he was a member of a dangerous gang, but has not provided any convincing evidence for this.

The government has repeatedly lied and sought to circumvent the justice system. It ignored the court order and sent him to El Salvador, where he is being held in a maximum security prison. The judge has now ordered the government to bring him back. The White House responded to the judge’s order with an insolent refusal, saying the judge’s jurisdiction does not run to El Salvador.

The government did however admit to a “mistake”. That is another lie. They did it very deliberately. This is applied racism. They imprisoned and deported this man for entirely racist reasons. “Mistakes” like this happen when the decisions are made by delusional people who think they are inherently superior.

It’s not just that they can cause suffering to a random person. To them, it’s an advantage, but only part of it. Millions of people with an immigration background who are all legally resident in the USA are afraid. They’ve seen it happen – they might be next. This is what the racists in charge want.

There’s no benefit in doing this, other than being able to demonstrate power over lesser humans. Shameful, absolutely disgraceful.

When and how did people stop believing in witchcraft? Can we do the same with racism?

  • 4-dimensional chess

Elon Musk was boasting a few days ago that his predictions have generally come true. This comes as a surprise to me.

It turns out it was as long ago as 2013 that we all got excited about self-driving cars and their imminent arrival. Musk has made regular promises about such technology, usually several times a year, but still no self-driving cars.

We all know he wants to go to Mars. In fact, he reckoned he would send two rockets there by the end of 2022. That moved to 2025, now 2029. Not to mention that StarShip, among all the rapid unplanned disassemblies, does not meet specifications and will probably never work as promised.

Then there’s his Boring Company. The idea was to have a tunnel for public transport. He expects cars to travel through this tunnel at 250kmh. They don’t. His sales patter following the obvious failure is like that of a perpetual motion crank: the prototype is there, we just need more money.

Predictions for Neuralink are for 2025. Maybe they will come true. On the other hand, research suggests that the human brain is like a very very slow modem in computing terms and cannot be linked to a gigabyte stream. I await the breakthrough.

Most recently, he predicted he could put a puppet in charge of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Despite spending $25million on this project, and engaging in outright election fraud, he got that wrong as well.

  • Academic freedom

I saw a scatter graph recently, showing how many Nobel prizes each country had won over the years. Germany was the clear Weltmeister until 1933, when the number of awards suddenly dropped, never to recover. The USA, followed by the UK, have been dominant since 1945.

There’s a good chance this will change. The USAians are happily destroying their university system. Some reasons are transparently ridiculous, such as withholding $175million from Penn because they had a trans swimmer in their team. Florida has sacked a professor because he is a Chinese refugee. Harvard and Columbia are both knuckling down to suppress unwanted opinions or disband departments that the government doesn’t like.

These elite universities have collected literally billions in endowments over the years. I get that there might be a tight spot in the short term, but they don’t need government money. Instead of compromising their charter and sacrificing academic freedom, they are genuinely in a position to say no. For whatever reason, they don’t do this.

The exodus is starting, with academics seeking new positions in Canada and Europe. This is indeed a good opportunity to attract the brightest and best, if the USA doesn’t want talent anymore. Not to mention that many foreign scholars are too scared to enter the country even for conferences, let alone for permanent positions.

We won’t see the effects of this for a few years, but it’s pre-programmed.

  • The worst idea ever

Why are they all such massive racists?

Racism is not a law of nature – it’s a human invention. It has its origins at the start of the 16th century, at a time of the Reformation and the discovery of the New World. People were trying to make sense of a world that had suddenly changed. Racism seemed to offer answers to their questions. Trouble was, all the answers are wrong.

It has been challenged from time to time by people looking for some sort of evidence or basis to its claims. It always fails these challenges and then mutates into a new form that is immune from the last challenge.

The most recent setback was the shoah, which most people – though evidently not all – consider a very bad idea. That’s by no means its only crime. Racism has a solid record of persecution, oppression, extortion, torture, rape, murder, war and genocide. It has no predictive power for anything and has zero virtues.

It’s been a popular mass delusion for centuries and has drenched our culture with its poison. It’s so well established that we grasp for racist tools such as affirmative action as part of our attempts to undo some of the mess. Like everything else racist, these are also useless.

The entire leadership of the USA believes unquestioningly, reflexively, in this baseless garbage. It dominates their thinking and decisions. And it’s total bullshit.
